I've been collecting for over 55 years and it is now time to let most of my personal collection go. Since I am limited to 12 photos, I've tried to present as complete an overview as possible. Please feel free to ask any relevant questions. Shipping costs shown are for domestic delivery only. Overseas shipping will be quite a bit more. I use the eBay Global Shipping Program and overseas shipping costs will be included with the invoice you... receive from eBay. I will combine shipping on multiple items.Offered here is a named uniform group belonging to Cpl. Louis O. Pendleton who served with Co D, 1st MG Platoon, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division. PFC (later Corporal) Pendleton served in combat operations on Roi-Namur, Saipan and Tinian. He was wounded on Tinian. I am also listing PFC Pendleton's WW2 photo album in a separate listing and also a 4th Marine Division Unit History book that came with the uniforms. I also have his cased Purple Heart (unnamed) but eBay regulations seem to preclude listing that for some obscure reason. If I include it with the listing, they will cancel it.The uniform group consists of the following:(1) Jacket: The jacket is a standard green wool USMC four pocket jacket. The jacket is marked inside U.S. Marine Quartermaster 1942-43" and stamped as a size "4-M." The inside sleeve is stamped "L O PENDLETON." The bronze EGA's are screw back. There is a discharge patch sewn above the right pocket. The ribbon bar is as shown. Corporal stripes sewn on both sleeves and a 4th Marine Division sewn on the upper left sleeve. There is no moth damage to the jacket that I can find.(2) Shirt: The shirt is a standard USMC mustard brown wool shirt. It is stamped inside the collar "L O PENDLETON." The shirt is shown as a size "1" and a is tagged inside "I. Unterberg & Son, Contact No. 43390 and dated February 24, 1944." There is no moth damage to the shirt that I can see.(3) Cap: The cap is included in the listing but is not original to the group but complements it nicely. The bronze EGA is screw back and it has a fabric sweatband. There is no size that I can find.(4) Dress Blue Jacket: The dress blue jacket is made of dark navy blue wool with red piping. The jacket has Corporal chevrons on both sleeves and a 4th Marine Division patch on the upper left sleeve. There is some minor moth damage to the jacket; 3-4 pinpoint sized on the back of the coat under the right sleeve. 2 pinpoint holes on the front, 3 pinpoint sized holes of the left sleeve, one pencil point sized above the right sleeve cuff button and a small one at the bottom of the right sleeve. Because of the dark wool they cannot be easily seen but they are there. The jacket is stamped on the inside sleeve "L O PENDLETON."(5) Dress Blue Trousers: The dress blue trousers are made of a fine medium blue gabardine wool. The trousers are button fly and lined in the waist area with white cotton. The lining is slightly soiled and discolored from use. Both pants legs have the red wool NCO stripe down the seam on both sides. There are no size markings that I can find. The greens did not come with a pair of trousers but I have an extra pair that I will include with the group at no cost i9f the buyer wants them.As a former Marine (67-71), identified or named WW2 USMC uniforms and bring back articles are the core of my personal collection. It has taken me decades and tons of work to locate these items and now that I am 70 it seems appropriate to pass them on. I will be listing several other uniform groups, albums, field gear, USAAF watches and some WW2 German items so please check out my other listings.Wool clothing items are heavy to ship so the shipping quote reflects that. I will combine shipping where practicable. I only use PayPal for payment unless other arrangements are made before you bid. International bidders need to understand that my shipping quote is for domestic PRIORITY delivery only. International shipping will be quite a bit more and I only ship overseas using eBay's Global Shipping Program.
