This vintage Y2K Apple Macintosh PowerBook G3 M5343 notebook laptop with bronze keyboard is the real deal, straight out of Y2K 1999. This is a really sweet laptop considering its age. It works great, partially in thanks to the upgraded 256mb of ram. Although the PowerPC processor is only 333mhz, it's quite speedy running the software of its day. This laptop was running OSX 10.3.9, but there was personal data, so we wiped it to its original stock Mac OS 8.6 using the included ...live CD. This process only took like 20 minutes (as a testament to this beasts speed lol). There is what seems to be a 4GB 5400rpm hard drive, with a newer SSD this would "scream". When you boot this mac you should be presented with a stock MacOS 8.6, with a setup wizard to help you get started somewhere in there. This PowerBook G3 has not been connected to the internet since installing 8.6.
This is a bundle deal. Included are the original OS 8.6 installation/recovery CD, 2 batteries, stock CD drive, extra DVD drive, and extra Zip 100 drive. We didn't test the DVD or Zip drive, but they are clean. We aren't sure if either of the 2 batteries hold a charge (didn't test). With this mac you can use 1 or 2 batteries, or any drive in either-or, and both bays, which is pretty cool. There are tab levers that flip out the front of the laptop which release the bay(s).
The power supply for this mac is original, but its old, there is tape on the one termination, and may need wiggling to get powered up. We are considering this a loss, and recommend you order a new power supply for when this one eventually dies.
