Antique Edwardian Period
Canvas, Wood & Steel FoldingCampaign Tent Camp Bed,
circa 1910.
Thisauction is for a wonderful English antique Edwardianperiod campaign tent camping bed. This bed comes direct from a recent estate clearance & is sold in as found antiquecondition. Wood & black coated steel folding frame with stretched ov...er removable thick canvas bed base. Some age related stains & one or two edge fraying to canvas, penned name on one end edge of canvas. One wooden leg has been replaced at some stage & also had a poor sello tape repair. I'm sure this would be an easy fix but it seems do the job, woks well as a bed & holds my weight. Folds away, rolls up & comes with thick leather buckle strap. All just asyou would expect from a piece of this great age adding a delighful vintage charm. It's style & design is ofit's Edwardian period & would date nicely to the early1900's.
