A Vintage Mahogany Cased Crystal Radio Receiver Set.
* Model Reference No TRG 39A, Serial No 64838.*
* I can see no actual makers name on the Case or Set itself but it comes as it came to me with an Igranic No 2 Short Wave Aerial which fits perfectly and obviously belongs.*
** An original period Crystal Radio, British Made and dating to the early 20th Century, circa 1920's.**Generally in good condition as shown, no major damage or structural issues.
...r />Some cracks to the Glass Detector Tube, they seem to be stable, not overly fragile or weak, firmly in situ.
All Threads run cleanly and tighten fully, no issues.
* Sold as untried or tested, with nothing obviously detrimental going unmentioned, with no obvious reason it would not work.*
No chips or cracks to the Bakelite.
The Dial moves firmly and smoothly, no issues.
* The Whisker Arm moves freely and firmly with no fragility.*
The Fixing Screws for securing the Bakelite Panel all tighten fully except one which still tightens sufficiently to do the job.The Mahogany Case is all intact, some sound repairs to its corners and general cosmetic surface wear, nothing loose or fragile, structurally sound, would probably benefit from the addition of a Catch for securing the Lid closed, the Hinges move freely with no issues.
