Here we have a rare find! A Volex 747 recorder.
Something that you would find in an amusement park, you pay your 100 yen and record you singing into the mic and then take your disk home!The cutting head looks a bit similar to a Soundscriber so may have been based on that technology.The turntable spins and there's signal on the VU when you speak into the mic.I tried to emboss a polycarbonate disk, which worked but the sound was very low and muffled when I played the disk back, so thi...s machine will need to be restored to get it fully up to shape so is being sold AS IS.
Comes with the original card instruction display board too!
A fantastic, rare and collectable piece of record cutting history and a great addition as a display piece for a museum or studio, probably perfect for Jack White!
