Antique early 1920’s hand embroidered Chinese silk flapper shawl / piano scarf . This is a completely beautifully piece with heavily embroidered large flowers and long stemmed smaller trailing flowers .All the flowers and embroidery work is double sided and in great shape with no broken threads that I see .This piece is in lovely vintage condition with some minimal signs of wear consistent with age with no rips or tears ..with some mall breaks in the macrame woven long fringe and I s...aw a tiny hole ..the size of a pencil top on the edge and a small repair to to the edge ..both not noticeable unless you look hard and not noticeable when worn or used on the piano ...please refer to the pictures and it smells good too...This piece is estate fresh and was packed away in the dresser for the last 80 or more years. This piece measures 61 by 64 inches with the macramé fringe adding a additional 9 1/2 inches.Please refer to the pictures and thanks for looking . Please realize that the shawl is black ...it looks lighter or gray in some of the pictures from the sunlight ..and it also lets you see the embroidery work ..but it’s black and not faded in person.
