Antique Metal with Metal Mesh Basket Soap Saver (A frugal means to save bits of left over soap - place in basket and move quickly in water to make suds)CONDITION: Used expected wear to metal from use basket no breaks in mesh -- on one side by edge dent inward please see pictures design-- metal handle with mesh basket to open an close two rings attached to back of basket in front where the handle... is attached to the basket is a metal knob hook of sort with a metal ring to move onto the latch and close the basket MATERIAL: Metal

THIS IS A EARLY METAL SOAP SAVER THAT WAS USED AS A FRUGAL MEANS TO SAVE THE TINY SOAP BITS BY MOVING QUICKLY IN WATER AND MAKING SUDS. AN INVENTION TO SAVE SOAP AND THIS COULD EVEN BE FUNCTIONAL TODAY! THERE ARE REPRODUCTIONS BUT THIS IS ORIGINAL. AT PRESENT VERY SELDOM DO I FIND THESE SOAP SAVER DURING MY TRAVELS. THIS EARLY SOAP SAVER WOULD MAKE CONVERSATION ITEM AND/OR ADDITION TO A COLLECTION OR DISPLAY!
