Up for auction is a old vintage early 1900s "Jacobus Stainer" 1 pc. back full size violin for restoration. The nicely figured 1 pc curly maple back measures 14 1/4 by 8 1/8 inches. There are no bassbar or soundpost cracks on the violin and the neck is solid. The scroll and the pegbox are in good condition. The pegs turn smoothly and the fingerboard has slight wear from use. The soundpost is standing inside the violin and there is a open seam to the right of the endpin (please check pic...s). The violin is labeled as a "Copy of Jacobus Stainer Made in Czecho-Slovakia". The violin is for restoration. The violin has age related scratches/wearmarks on the varnish (please check pics). The violin will need new strings etc. (please check pics).
