Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Sky Blue and Peacock Blue AB Color - Round and Marquise Shaped Crystals - Three Section Rigid Cuff Bracelet and Earring Set - Openwork Leaf Cluster Motif. BOOK PIECE! - EXTREMELY RARE DESIGN & COLOR COMBINATION!
MINT CONDITION IN ORIGINAL BOX! - NO RESERVE! This handsome and very impressive bracelet set dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman"... designed as a 1.25" wide three section rigid cuff bracelet each section featuring an openwork leaf cluster motif within borders of small round crystals. The set is done in a series of dazzling and intense sky blue and peacock blue AB color round and and marquise shaped crystals set in a rhodium plated setting. The bracelet comes with a pair of 1.25" leaf cluster earrings that are an exact match to the main details in the bracelet.
This bracelet, in a color variation, can be seen on page 111 of the new Yallen and Caldwell Sherman book - "Sherman Jewellery - The Masterpiece Collection". The bracelet measures 7.5" in diameter and should fit to a size 6.5" to 6.75" inch wrist.
The bracelet set is in mint condition showing little use, all the original stones, none missing or replaced with no loss to the finish or plating on the back of the bracelet or earrings. The bracelet set was originally retailed by Morgans Department Store and comes with the original Morgans store box. The bracelet is marked on the black of the clasp, Sherman in script letters and Sherman on the back of the ear clips. SHERMAN Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated.
