Unusual FolkArt Demon Sculpture Occult Devil Satan Figure Antique Vintage Style
Based upon a combination between the Scandinavian Northern European folklore custom & tradition of Kitchen Witch poppets & the Christian Church tradition of Gargoyle to ward off demons & evil spirits. This is a Demon House Guardian.
The belief being that so terrifying is appearance of the demon figure it will ward off other de...mons/evil spirits who will not want to get into a 'turf war' with the resident demon figure in a home....allegedly?!
Now we made this in our art studio. It is created from pre-loved items which we re-sculpt, chisel, cut, form & generally tinker with. It is layered & mounted on a solid wood base. Finished in traditional shellac french polish, giving it that warm honey glow & antique vintage feel.
We occasionally make one of these handmade such objects d'art (along with other folklore/shamanic/witchcraft artifacts for use of others in their belief practices).
It is unique, as everyone one of these sculptures we make is different...& we are not a factory so we don't make many...or often!
As an interior decor sculpture piece it has a certain individual & unique appeal for those who like the different & unusual.

Q. Do you post worldwide?A. Only to countries indicated in the listingItems are sent by Royal Mail. (The Cornish Way: We bimble up to the local village bus stop, sometimes using a wheelbarrow to convey parcels, there we hand over to local village postie. It’s just a little bit rural Cornwall where we live) Q. Can you combine the postage for multiple items?
A. Yes. If items end on the same day we adjust invoice to combine post. PLEASE NOTE: Multiple same day purchases. Allow us time to reweigh & package to send a revised combined invoice before making any payment. If you pay immediately without waiting for a combined invoice we will dispatch parcels separately. New/Use:- Most Kuriology items come primarily from a huge personal collection of Kuriology sculptures created & built up by the creator artist over many years. Mainly from when the artist was disability housebound for a period of over a decade.That is a LOT of sculptures to downsize! Item description will detail variations. Some items have previously been Museum Gallery exhibited at award winning Helston Museum in 2017 as part of a solo Art Exhibition held by the Kuriologist. - ‘From behind closed doors’. Description Accuracy We do our best to describe all items and provide as accurate a guide as possible. Our descriptions are our honest opinions of the item. Sizes given are approx. Being three dimensional objects of strange shapes, measurements may vary by 1cm or so. Packaging We pride ourselves on our packaging. Where possible recycled materials are used, especially for internal wrapping. We buy in most boxes, ensuring correct box sizes. We try to avoid plastic bubble wrap, but sometimes it is just prudent to use it. Photographs A picture paints a thousand words. We encourage you to carefully study ALL the photographs to build your own opinion of an object. Payment We only accept payment by PayPal and we can only post to your registered PayPal address.
