LIEBIG OXO BRAND COMPLETE SET OF 15 "BULL SERIES" EXTRACT OF BEEF INSERT CARDS- 1937Offered is a complete set of 15 advertising insert cards issued by the Liebig Company and packed inside OXO brand products such as bouillon, etc. This numbered set is catalogued as OXO-3 by The Cartophillic Society of Great Britain Ltd.'s British Trade Index, Part 1. Cards are about the same size as the standard cigarette... cards of the 1930's. OXO cards were distributed over the 1926- 1937 period.Contrasted to this rather dull B & W series, regular issue Liebig trade cards are known as some the finest "Chromos" ever produced, many series with 12 color lithography, and the sets covering 100's of different subjects. The first series were issued in 1872 and the last of 1800+ sets came out in 1973. Cards promoting the company's "Extract of Beef" were issued in many countries around the world and in as many as 15 different languages. Cards mailed in the USA will be packed in a cardboard mailer or padded envelope and sent USPS First Class package service with tracking.
