Nice assortment of old relics dug on private property near Camp Grant, Arizona on the San Pedro River south of Winkelman. These came from the collection of an elderly man (now deceased) who used to metal detect at and around Camp Grant back in the 1970s and 1980s. He told me that he once found an Apache camp site about half a mile from the fort site, where he found these relics. The Apaches were drawing rations from the Indian agency at Camp Grant in the early 1870s, at the... time of the infamous Camp Grant Massacre in 1871. These would make a unique display of frontier Indian Wars relics from a genuine 1870s-era Apache Camp in Arizona!! Thanks for looking!
