This clock is a deluxe quality antique tiger oak & bronze ormolu mounted chain driven twin fusee 8 day bell striking bracket clock of superb proportions and of the highest quality in excellent condition for age with a beautiful colour and patina to the tiger oak
The case features a fantastic triple step top design with its original finish that looks absolutely amazing on display with various bronze ormolu case decorations dripping over the case The case features ormolu bracket feet with fish scale brass fret panels to sides with glass panels behind them with brass fret to back door again with glass panel behind it. The front has a cast brass bezel door with thick bevelled glass and a working lock and key mechanism to side
The case is in great condition with some of the best colour and patina i have seen on a clock. Absolutely superb quality dripping in ormolu mounts and very rare to have glass panels behind the brass frets
The solid tiger oak case has a stunning colour and patina to it which is acquired through age with all ormolu mounts in original condition. This is exactly how i have received it and it looks 100% more impressive in the flesh, the proportions are superb and looks impressive wherever it is displayed
The clock features a fantastic circular 7.5 inch diam silvered dial with engraved roman numerals and original fine quality regency english hands. The dial is in excellent condition with the makers name engraved to centre Payne 163 New Bond Street, London who is a top quality recorded london maker The dial also features another very rare feature in a silent/strike lever to the top which is used to silence the hourly bell strike
The clock has a superb original English twin fusee 8 day bell striking movement chain driven with original fusee pendulum
The movement is in excellent working order ticks away beautifully as you can see and hear in the video above and strikes the bell on the hour counting the hours The movement also features a very rare silent/chime feature which is used to silence the hourly bell strike when you want to. This is selected on the dial with a silent/strike lever. If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
