Rare Art Nouveau Haven Clock Co. Gilt Bronze Figural Myth Rhinestone Clock
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:16233585 | Country/Region of Manufacture: United States |
Stunning 19th Century Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze Figural Clock. We have not found this subject matter on any of their clocks. The rhinestones are in great condition (again, rare to find). The porcelain face is hand painted. It appears to be a mythical scene with two women holding hands - one in a desperate position (perhaps one of the Greek myths - Electra, Iphigenia, Antigone, Ismene). This was purchased from the estate of an Art Nouveau clock collector who had many boudoir and mantel clocks in his collection. The clock measures 7" x 6 1/2" x 2 1/4" deep. Beautiful piece.
