Antique, Circa 1900 Colored & Fired Bisque German Fairing Pig
It is hard to believe that these cute and humorous porcelain figurines were sold as souvenirs at holiday resorts or given away at fairs
Because these were mostly free or low-cost at the turn of the century, many of them were thrown away – or – not as cherished so they may not be in the best of condition
This one is marked ‘Engaged’ -- One little pig is opening the door to ...the "Public Telephone Call Office" to find that it is actually an outhouse with another pig engaged in business!
Stands approx. 4 inches tall, 2 7/8 inches deep by 2 inches wide
Marked "Made in Germany" to backside & also stamped "2771"
