The oak has a very deep patina to it (almost ebonised) which looks wonderful on display as im sure you would agreeThe Barometer Measures - 45.75 inches high x 12.25 inches wide x 2.75 inches deepDialThe barometer has a 10 inch diameter dial with all the decoration and numerals in excellent condition and looks amazing. To the centre you have the barometer settings where you set yesterdays and todays conditions. The thermometer has a engraved silvered dial which is also in excellent conditionMovementThe movement is a totally original Admiral Fitzroy barometer, thermometer and storm tube which are all in full working order. This is a rare high quality Admiral Fitzroy polytechnic wall barometer, the barometer is constructed from solid oak with various hand carved decorations all in excellent original condition. The oak has a very deep patina to it (almost ebonised) which looks wonderful on display as im sure you would agree
The Barometer Measures - 45.75 inches high x 12.25 inches wide x 2.75 inches deep
Dial
The barometer has a 10 inch diameter dial with all the decoration and numerals in excellent condition and looks amazing. To the centre you have the barometer settings where you set yesterdays and todays conditions. The thermometer has a engraved silvered dial which is also in excellent condition
Movement
The movement is a totally original Admiral Fitzroy barometer, thermometer and storm tube which are all in full working order. Fitzroy barometers are known to be some of the highest quality and more accourate barometers around and this is no exception, it dates to around circa 1850
