Original Description:
Original Civil War Model 1856 Enfield saber bayonet with leather scabbard. Serial numbered 3161 on frog stud. This number is similar to Confederate serial numbers that appear on Enfield butt plates. I have not seen another example like this one. The bayonet is unmarked and it untouched very good condition. Measures about 28” overall with a 22 1/2” blade. A penny will drop through the socket. Should clean up better. Left side of grip is damaged as seen in the photos. Leather scabbar...d is solid with general wear. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
