Belt Plate Buckle
3 1/2" across Original 1860s American Civil War-Era Federal Officer’s Belt-Plate The buckle is brass. Intact and in good shape. I have not cleaned it. It has remnants of a what I think is the original old belt with a brass hook to adjust the belt size, see photos. The belt buckle measures approximately 3 1/2” across by 2 1/8". Very Good condition except the olive branch wreath is missing. It has the closure hook on the underside.
