Each of theseimpressive carved gilt wood and wrought iron sconces measures 37 ½” tall x 10”wide a 7” deep and features deeply rendered carving and grungy older gold paintover gold leaf and red bole. Dating fromthe middle 1900’s. they are unmarked and most likely Italian and the sconcearms are hollow, so wiring them for electricity is a possibility. The wrought candle arms remove easily, shouldyou wish to hang them as architectural elements/fragments. The surf...ace is stable with glints of the oldgold leaf and minor nicks and chips, especially to the candle sockets. There is some old candle wax residue.
