This is an Antique Parian Bisque Bust of Friedrich von Schiller who was a 19th C German Poet, Philosopher, Physican - Father of Liberalism and Enlightenment. The bust is made of Parian Bisque and has a number 6616 imprinted on the back of the bust on the base. A black wooden base was added to the bust but I don't believe it was original. I image that many people have own this over many years. It is a lovely bust and in excellent condition. It measure...s 10 3/4" H x 7 3/4" W x 4" D and weighs 1 lb. 8 oz.
