Original Description:
Beautiful antique solid oak 4"x6" index card filing box. The box measures 6 1/2" long x 4 1/4" deep x 5 1/8" tall. Inside is 6 1/8 " wide x 3 3/4" deep x 4 7/8" tall. The box is constructed of 1/4" solid quartersawn oak and uses fingerjoints for strength. Broken hardware was replaced with period appropriate ones. Refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Excellent condition. All joints are solid. No cracks, sc...ratches or splits in the wood. Cork pads for easy handling and to protect furniture. No reserve! Shipping weight approximately 2 pounds.
