VA Antique 19th C SALT GLAZED Stoneware WHISKEY Storage CROCK JUG #2- May be older than category we assigned it to- we are not certain and we have assigned it to a later age category than my be accurate.
- Purchased in PA but was told this may be from VA - we cannot be definitive of origination- it is a very nice older crock or jug with a good aged surface.
- Measures approx 8.5" - 8.75" tall and is approx 5.5" diam at base. There is a shallow rim chip on the top... of the rim and some irregularities or minor flea bite chips around the base at the bottom of the crock.
- Nice aged orange peeling look to the stoneware surface.
This is a Whiskey Jug most likely - utilitarian and classically designed in form. It is a really nicely made storage pottery crock. Please see photos for your estimation of condition.
