Vintage Hand Carved Wood Figure by John D. Epp – Greater Scaup, Canada A hand carved wood figure of a Greater Scaup Male duckstanding on a natural wood base. Thefigure is hand painted in high detail with natural colors. The bottom of the wood base has tan feltpadding The figure was made inManitoba Canada by John David Epp and hand painted by his wife andpartner. Mr. John D. Epp passed away in1990. The carved wood figure with pedesta...l base measures: 33/8" wide x 4 13/16” deep (front to back) x 4 1/2” high.The bird itself measures: 4 7/16" long (beak to tail) x1 13/16" wide x 3 3/8” tall This piece is signed on the side of the base: “GREATER SCAUPby Epp” and the underside has the number “57” handwritten on the felt pad. The wood sculpture is in very good condition with very minorsurface scuffs and wear on the bird figure and base, (please see photos.).
