Vintage Hand Carved Wood Figure by John David Epp – Loon, Canada A hand carved wood figure of a Loon diving bird standing ona natural wood base. The figure is handpainted in high detail with natural colors. The bottom of the wood base has blue felt padding The figure was made in Manitoba Canada byJohn David Epp and hand painted by his wife and partner. Mr. John D. Epp passed away in 1990. The carved wood figure with pedestal base measures: 3 13/...16"wide x 4 3/16” deep (front to back) x 5 5/16” high.The bird itself measures: 5 1/2" long (beak to tail) x 13/4" wide x 4 3/4” tall This piece is faintly signed on the side of the base: “LOON /EPP”. The wood sculpture is in good “as-found” condition with veryminor surface scuffs and wear on the bird figure and base, (please see photos.).
