This auction is for a 16mm Original COLOR Print of a vintage hardcore adult film simply titled BANANAS. Absolutely unrelated to Woody Allen's comedy classic of the same name!
Our hero Johnny Gonad (Canada’s most prominent pervert) works as a film editor and the film starts off with him working at his movieola on 16mm porn footage (unseen). Johnny gets so hot and bothered watching his own movies he decides to call up a girlfriend of his and ends ...up banging her until his wife walks in on them with the groceries. They then have a silent argument (no bother to dub). I guess his wife wasn't too bothered by the infidelity because as soon as she kicks the girl out she then takes over in the sex department. This leads to a mouthful of bone broth, causing her to pull a Linda Blair and throw up in his lap. Wait, it gets even more gnarly. Later his wife goes out of town so he decides to get it on with his wife's sister. Spreading her naked on a desk, Johnny turns her into a human fruit salad involving whipped cream, fruits, peach slices and you guessed it!....a Banana! He then happily eats the mess. "Me and the kid were really having a good time!" he tells us. This film is filled with other great bits of hilarious moronic dialogue like "She drug me from the desk to the bed in such quick time I almost swallowed my gum".
Filled with idiotic narration and one of the lousiest soundtracks ever set to celluloid with songs like "When the Saints Go Marching In, " "Deep River, " "Ballin' the Jack" and even chanting of "Hare Krishna" played over and over -some tracks repeated three or four times. There is dead air between tracks as if sound editing had never been invented. When the wife bursts in, reveille is played on a trumpet, and later there is heavy use of sound effects LPs including elevator ("Fourth floor: housewares") announcements.
This sleaze opus finishes up with some wife-swapping as Johnny and company join the Mile High Club then have sex on it's wings after it lands.....and for some demented reason gunfire and exploding bombs are heard during sex scenes. "These films have really changed my life!" Johnny says. Then he threatens us "don't forget to watch for the further adventures of Johnny Gonad", touted as a Canadian hero.
I found some information stating this film was a 1974 release but circa 1971/1972 is more likely. Due to eBay policy, I'm limited to the photos I can post and what I can show but I can assure you this film shows it all!
Print has random wear, lines in sections, & occasional splices so if you are looking for a brand new or mint print, please look elsewhere. We do our best to accurately represent the film prints we sell unlike many other sellers who list every print of theirs as simply being in "excellent condition". No Vinegar Smell. Film is complete, runs approx 57 minutes and comes mounted on a 2300ft. reel.
This film appears to have been published with no notice of copyright affixed to the opening or closing credits and there also appears to be no copyright registration.
