He has a bird fluttering onhis sleeve, is portly, and gold buckles on his shoes. She features a bird in herapron with a letter in its beak and flowers in her hair. The detail like somany of this period feature incredible detail right down to the hair, toes and fingers, birds flowers and detail o...f the clothing.Please observe the photos as my description really can never illustrate them aswell as, I hope, the photos do. Courting or flirting couple? Two good friends? Socute!They visually are in excellent condition top to bottom withno dings or chips or repairs or missing parts. This couple has been togetherfor many years and the seller- consignor ( a romantic for sure) wishes them tostay together. Consequently they are being sold as a pair. These are consignedfrom a major southern California collector who has provided them a smoke freeenvironmentally controlled home for over forty years. As the photos illustrateboth compliment one another, are beautiful, and excellent to view.They stand 20 1/2 inches tall and the bases average 6 inchesin diameter. I observe no trademarks on the base. The consignor - collector - expertsays and believes and has assured me they are indeed pre 1900 in age. Whomevercreated them, they are excellent and need a new home. This auction is withoutreserve.
