Condition is Used. In very good condition. No spills, no rips, no tears.
This letter is from Maine Congressman James C. Oliver to Mrs. Constanze K. O'Brien (Mrs. Francis Massey O'Brien), Secretary of the Portland League for Peace and Freedom, a left-leaning group populated by liberals and socialists. The letter concerns the Gavagan Anti-Lynching bill, which Gavagan pushed in Congress for man...y years. The bill never became law. Oliver began his career in Congress as a Republican, but later became a Democrat.
About shipping. Unfortunately, 1st class shipping for a package (meaning - with tracking) costs about $4 these days. I am willing to send the letter as a letter for $1, but that would be with no tracking.
Thanks.
