This classic antique wood and felt toy Spark Plug horse is about 9 1/2" long x 6 1/2" tall and it was made by the Schoenhut Co.(Philadelphia, Pa.) The horse is sturdy and well formed with good detail and he has jointed legs and neck and he is wearing a patched felt blanket. Spark Plug is famous as a character from the Barney Google comic strip and he became the advertising icon for the A.C. Spark Plug Co. There is some wear and his "Spark Plug" blanket is faded and torn but over ...all the toy horse is in decent original condition. The unusual horse displays OK and will still stand up nicely on his own. Ca. 1920s. Good luck!
