A handsome, large and heavy French bronze classical 8 day regulator clock retailed by Tiffany & Co circa 1900. The movement is stamped Japy Freres "medaille d'honneur" 4808/411 as well as Tiffany & Co A1. The gilt bronze case has 4 Corinthian columns, beadwork, acanthus leaf and other adornments. The beveled glass is all intact and undamaged and it has a wonderful porcelain 4" dial (also with Tiffany name) & embossed scene of Cupid and Pyche in the center. The clo...ck stands 13" tall x 9.25" wide x 6.75" deep. Overall very good cosmetic condition, minor wear mostly on top and minor hairline on dial at 10 o'clock. The clock winds ok, will work for a while then stop, so probably needs a cleaning and/or adjustment. Comes with real merc pendulum and a key. Will strike on the 1/2 hour and full hour.
