LESTER GEIS STIFFEL ATOMIC JET AGE MODERN BRASS TENSION POLE FLOOR LAMP 1950'S HEIFETZDESIGN: A rare and exceptional vintage Atomic Modern Jet Age Brass triple perforated shroud Tension Pole floor lamp designed by Lester Geis for Stiffel lighting circa early 1952. This stunning sculptural "shroud" lamp is the most unusual and rare example of any and all of Stiffel's prized pole designs from the Mid Century era which was designed after Lester Geis' award winning "Model T...-5-G" table lamp for Heifetz (see last pic of the 1951 MOMA collection example). The parts are primarily manufactured of solid/plated Brass, enameled steel & Walnut wood and are extremely well machined and manufactured - Stiffel was known as the Cadillac of lamp makers and this gem lives up to that reputation. Undoubtedly the rarest of all Stiffel Tension Rod lamps and a very hard find in any condition making the fine condition of this jewel a one time opportunity...it does not get any better!CONDITION: This brilliant Tension pole floor lamp is in extraordinary sublime original condition, completely intact, fully functional and appears to have been very lightly used or exposed to the elements. It exhibits just a few signs of wear with no obvious damage or repair evident. The original clear coated Brass finish is brilliant throughout and free of any obvious scars or scratches with only a few surface marks to the shades and faint tarnish to the furthest end extension rods. The original Black satin enamel finish is equally as clean with just a few tiny surface marks to the low pole and a scratch on the backside of one shade. The walnut wood handles extending from the shades are pristine. The 3-way (1/2/3 lights) switch, sockets and power cord are original and have been inspected to be clean, safe and functional.DIMENSIONS: This rare style Stiffel floor lamp measures 106" tall at its max with 12" of adjustment via the tension rod. With an overall width of 16" to the shade span while the shades are 5" diameter X 11" high- bulbs ARE NOT included.
