SUBLIME STIFFEL FUTURA ATOMIC JET AGE MODERN BRASS & ALUMINUM TENSION POLE FLOOR LAMP 1950'sDESIGN: An impressive and striking vintage Atomic Modern Jet Age Brass & Aluminum "Futura" 4-arm Tension Pole floor lamp designed and manufactured by Stiffel lighting circa 195o's. This stunning sculptural "Futura collection" lamp is the most outstanding example of any and all of Stiffel's prized pole designs from the Mid Century era and is the most sought after due to its exquisit...e use of high end materials that have been skillfully designed with the utmost futuristic flair . The parts are primarily manufactured of solid Brass & Aluminum and are extremely well machined and manufactured - Stiffel was known as the Cadillac of lamp makers and this rare gem proves that accolade famously. Considered the "holy grail" of Tension Rod lamps it is a very rare find in any condition and this unbelievably fine specimen is a once in a lifetime gem...you will NEVER find a better example!CONDITION: I have handled many numerous Stiffel pole lamps over my years of collecting and among those several of these Futura style and I can say without hesitation this is the all-time finest condition Tension Pole lamp I have ever encountered...period! This exquisite Tension pole floor lamp is in extraordinary sublime original condition, completely intact, fully functional and appears to have been barely used or exposed to the elements. It exhibits almost no signs of wear with no obvious damage or repair evident. The original clear coat finish is brilliant throughout and tarnish free with no obvious scars or scratches, honestly only a few faint marks to the furthest end extension rods. The supersonic Aluminum shades are equally as pristine with just a couple faint tiny surface marks. The switches, sockets and power cord are original and have been inspected to be clean, safe and functional...the push switches on the pole controls the complete light combination (all 4) as selected or the 4 shade lights independently.DIMENSIONS: This rare style Stiffel floor lamp measures 103" tall at its max with 20" of adjustment via a 8" removable section and 12" of tension rod. With an overall width of 12" to the shade span while the shades are 3" diameter X 12" high- bulbs ARE NOT included.
