As shown in the photos, this is a lovely antique piece of ladies jewelry that has been treasured and appreciated. It’s in very good vintage condition with age appropriate wear and patina. Hand painted roses on porcelain in a pronged brass setting. Gold gilt frame with raised white beads encircling the piece to provide a lovely tactile surface. Large piece that Measures about 2.5” x 2”. Many pieces like this were painted by women who were paid by the piece so they are referred to ...as “ladies work “. Opportunities for women to work were very limited at the turn of the 20th century and piece work helped women care for their families.
