Trent Tile Co., dating from the 19th century, and located in Philadelphia, PA, made some of the finest of American made fireplace majolica tiles, and the figural ones are the best and most desirable. These three comprise a set depicting a majestic portrait (and these border on what we may call Art), of a Stag with a huge Rack of antlers. He stands tall and proudly in these beautifully multi-colored shades of brown leaning to hints of a pinkish red with fine detail. ...r>I would frame them if I were keeping them any longer; I have had them for 30 plus years and took them out of a Denver Square home that was slated to be demolished. It was built in 1890. I will soon have others for sale from the same house if you care to check out my other listings. Each tile is 6 inches square and they all have very light crazing, lighter than I would expect of majolica, expected of lead-based high glazed majolica pottery. That would make them 18 inches tall as a completed portrait. And the colors are consistent and lovely to be sure. The overall effect is amazing and the condition is too. There is very little glaze loss and little to no damage that I can see. Please examine photos carefully. Wonderful pieces! International Buyers: please email for shipping costs . Please tell me exactly where you want it shipped. Thanks.
