This is a rare 50-year old vintage sundial commemorating the Apollo 11 lunar landing. It is made of cast metal textured black. The sundial itself is aluminum with numbers and the gnomon is a thick wire. The dial can be wall mounted (base is is 6 3/8"x 4 3/8") and is adjustable by degree with a single screw. There is a replica of the plaque left on the moon on its base with the astronauts signatures. Under the base it reads Florida Bronze, Melbourne, FLA. The conditi...on is good, someone with knowledge of the restoration arts could probably make it look more new. The are a few very small bare spots on the arm of the sundial and the base shows some wear, but otherwise it is intact and works.
