Please email any questions, and HAPPY BIDDING!For your consideration, this TRUE antique/vintage 1930s/40s handmade applique quilt in an old pattern called Vining Rosebuds or Rose of Sharon -- sweetly ELEGANT, everything about this quilt is EXQUISITE! -- highly VISUAL, using framed areas of wedgewood blue and white -- the floral appliques done using two shades of PINK and hunter green -- all high-quality 100% cotton fabrics -- straight edges, and backed in the same solid white cotton used on the front -- VERY fine 100% cotton batting -- light and airy, making it perfect for spring/summer use -- the quilt measures 64" x 78", and was totally hand-pieced, hand-quilted and hand-appliqued in PERFECT blind-stitching -- the quilting is extremely WELL-EXECUTED in generous grids and patterns at 7-8 TEENY stitches per inch -- this seamstress was really "showing off" her handwork ability -- lays nice and flat -- in VERY EXCELLENT antique condition -- light wear/gentle usage -- strong, sturdy, everything intact -- colors CRISP and VIBRANT -- NICE and CLEAN, except for some light surface soil which has settled in the foldlines during storage -- looks highly liftable with some spot-treatment, a gentle soak or a quick trip to the cleaners which we'll leave up to the new owner -- no other issues to report -- these old beauties are getting harder and harder to find -- this quilt would be PERFECT for cottage/farmhouse or Victorian decors, laid across your bed, stacked in your quilt cabinet, or CELEBRATED by displaying on the wall as a great piece of TEXTILE ART! -- a true collector's piece....and the price is right!
