Original Stapled textured card covers with brown lettering and illustrated upper cover. No Inscriptions. Faint crease mark to covers. Staples rusty but sound. Ton...ing along spine edges and a few dirty marks to covers, otherwise in better than good clean bright sound condition.
Includes information on the invention by Illingworth, ‘The Fixed Spool Reel’. He also introduced the ‘Shortened Spinning Rod’, ‘The Minnow Scarab’, and the use of gut substitute as a reel line for spinning. There is an illustration of the ‘Illingworth Casting reel’ and The Wharfe Upstream from Netherside where Illingworth tried out the first Fixed Spool Reel.
