Very rare, original and massive, 1890's Cast Iron, 3 Horse Hook and Ladder Fire Truck in original paint manufactured by the Dent Hardware Company of Fullerton, Pennsylvania.
This early and very large, Cast Iron Fire Engine / Ladder Truck measures 28” long overall by 9 1/2" tall (to the top of the original ladder racks) by 6" wide (across the feet of the horses). The Ladder truck retains both of its original ladder racks, all three original wooden ladders a...nd its original driver and rear fireman. The original bell is attached below the front of the body of the Truck and the Wagon is drawn by a team of three, very large galloping / flying horses.
This very heavy, very attractive and very rare, Dent Cast Iron Ladder Wagon is in very good condition. It has never been repainted, touched-up, restored or altered in any way. There are no crack, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind. The Ladder Wagon retains its original ladder racks and its original front driver as well as the three original wood ladders and its original rear fireman. The Ladder Wagon and the team of horses retain the vast majority (90%+) of their original surface paint with some light surface paint loss. We have included numerous scans below to give a good indication of the form of this wonderful Cast Iron Toy and the condition of the surface paint.
