Wonderful, 1890's Cast Iron Toy, Horse Drawn Fire Ladder Wagon manufactured by the Hubley Mfg. Co. This early, cast iron Horse Drawn Toy measures 19” long overall by 5 3/4" tall (to the top of the head of the original drivers) and 5" wide (across the three, galloping mechanical horses. The Wagon is drawn by a team of three, separately cast horses (two black and one white) exhibit a "galloping" action when the Toy is rolled along the floor. The Fire Wagon features a red yoke and front... wheel assembly / undercarriage, red spoke wheels, a white ladder wagon red cast iron, removable ladder racks, all three original blue, cast iron ladders and both of the original separately cast, removable drivers. This wonderful Cast Iron Fire Engine Toy is 100% original but does lack its ladder racks and one of the two cast iron ladders.
This wonderful, 18900’s, Horse Drawn Fire Truck / Ladder Wagon is in very good condition. It is 100% original and has never been repainted, touched-up, restored or altered in any way. The Wagon retain approx. 80%+ of its original surface paint on all elements. There are no crack, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind to the cast iron. The Ladder Wagon retains its original front and rear drivers and one of the two cast iron ladders but lacks its original ladder racks and one of its two original ladders.
