The book (Folio) is bound in the original publishers cloth, in two tone colours, the spine and edge are cream and the boards are blue; upper cover decorated in gilt and colours, with gilt lettering pieces to the upper cover and spine; liquid staining to the upper and lower inch of the front cover; minor soiling to the lower cover; corners bumped; shelf wear to the head and foot ends of the spine; joints are good.Inside:
In very good condition throughout with just negligible minor marks and blemishes to margins of the main body of the book; moderate foxing to he reverse side of the frontispiece plate, and browning to the tissue guard sheet protecting the frontispiece.Some minor creasing to margins and corners but no rips or tears.Minor black residue to the front and rear lining papers.Profusely illustrated in black and white.All pages are tightly held at the gutter.Edges are gilt. Inner hinges are reinforced/strengthened with tape at the gutter.
The book measures 33.5 cm x 25.5 cm and weighs 1.840kg without packaging.
