SIGNED by DENNIS WHEATLEY to famed Hollywood Studio Publicist (and former Herald Examiner Reporter) Art Ronnie on a laid in sheet. Scarce signed first edition of this EARLY Roger Brook novel. Dennis Wheatley (1897-1977) was an English writer of thrillers and occult novels and one of the world's best-selling authors from the 1930s through the 1960s whose Gregory Sallust series was one of the m...ain inspirations for Ian Fleming's James Bond stories. Bound in the publisher's black cloth covered boards, with gilt spine titles. The boards are a bit worn along the edges. In the notably uncommon dust jacket, which slightly rubbed and worn, and some heavy tape reinforcements to the edges of the verso, a bit of which is showing through some tiny chips.
