Volumes I, II, II and IV of 'History of British Birds' by William Yarrell.
These are the 4th edition of the books to be published (around 1890).
Hardback and bound in maroon leather.
All in good antique condition, some minor wear to the outer leather binding (some minor scuffs and scratches here and there) as well as a small indentation on one of the cover edges (photos included). Yellowing / browning of inner pages.
Inner pages and binding are in good co...ndition overall, one of the pages in volume one 'Errata to Vol.1' appears to have been torn, but not missing any information. Inner title page of Vol. 2 has a small tear from one corner, otherwise free from rips and tears.
Each book has a small inscription in either pen or pencil on one of the 1st few pages.
Each book measures approx. 22.5 cm H x 15 cm W.
