T206 1909 Sovereign 350 Subjects. Tyrus Raymond Cobb, nicknamed The Georgia Peach, spent 22 seasons as an outfielder with the Detroit Tigers (the last 6 as player-manager), and finished his career with the Philadelphia Athletics from 1905 - 1928. In 1936 Cobb received the most votes of any player on the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame ballot receiving 222 votes out of 226 (98.2%). Cobb is widely credited with setting 90 MLB records during his career. He still ho...lds several records, including highest career batting average (.366) and most career batting titles (12). Though the front of the card is missing its left border, it is in very good condition. The image is clear; good color, mostly sharp corners. There are no rips or bends. The back of the card is missing some print (perhaps due to paste from a scrapbook) and shows a couple areas of staining. The card comes from my late father's estate and ships USPS First Class with Tracking.
