Lovely copy bound in fine brown leather with some wear and bumps but binding nice and tight with no major damage other than the 'Darwin' label on the spine missing (please see photos). Title label a little faded and nibbled but in fine green leather. Nice 19th Century marbled boards.Previous owner... leather label 'H.J CAPON' to front board. Owners inscription on front endpaper 'H.J Capon, 159 Edgware Road, London'693 pages in total. Internally the book is in very good condition for a book of this age with no staining or foxing but a few pages have previous owners notes/ markings in blue crayon/ pencil. Numerous 'in page' illustrations.
