I have an extensive collection of vintage baseball photos acquired over the last 40 years that I am thinning. Photos from my collection have appeared in Sports Illustrated, Ken Burns' Baseball book, SABR Publications and many other baseball books.
These 1940s photographs shows the ornate 1909 invitation for the opening of SHIBE PARK and the admission pass for the historic game. It housed the PHILADELPHIA ATHLETICS (a...nd later the Phillies) and was the first fully steel and concrete baseball park.
The photos measure approximately 5"x 7" and are in EXCELLENT condition.
