London & Cambridge: (1864) On offer here is the scarce 'Cookery for English Households' by a French Lady, published in London & Cambridge by Macmillan and Co, 1864.
Contents are collated and complete, meeting collation: (viii), 306 with doublepage spread of illustrations bound at the front and a half title and 6pp publishers catalogue at rear.
The book measures 12.5cm by 18cm.
12mo, bound in its period publishers brown cloth, gilt ruled to boards and lettered to spine.
Condition: The binding is holding firmly and in good condition, with some general wear, marks and scuffing as seen in pictures, spine a bit darkened and with slight fraying at base. Contents in good clean condition overall, lightly toned and with occasional minor spots, creases or marks consummate with age and use. Original grey/green endpapers.
