First edition. First printing, with all points present. A very good or better copy with bright and unfaded gilt on the spine. Clean and unworn, with only a small trace of soiling to the front board. Previous owner's signature on front free endpaper, and a few marks or smudges on the same page. Several traces of scattered foxing internally, particularly on the first quarter of the text, as well as on the outer text block. Otherwise, crisp and very presentable.
