Antique RPPC Old Milwaukee, Wisconsin Saloon W/Old Bag & Cigar Ad Posted 1910
Item History & Price
What we have here is an old real photo postcard (RPPC) of a rather handsome saloon from Milwaukee, Wisconsin (or the general area). It is postmarked December 29, 1910, making this a little over 108 years of age. It's looking very good for its age.
The saloon is a fairly well-put together place, with clean spitoons and a nice backbar and everything. Against the back wall we can see a framed lithograph of a brewery, an old calender, and at last one add for Barrett cigars. Ar...ound the saloon we can see a few other ads, including one for "Automobiles For Hire" above the backbar mirror.
There are five people visible in the saloon. On the far left-hand side is an old woman in a big, black Victorian-style dress (there is an old pay telephone just over her shoulder). There are three customers at the bar (all in hats) and a singe bartender (hatless).
And in case you were wondering: Yes this is an original postcard! As with all of my photos and postcards, this is an original. It is not a reproduction or a fake or copy or anything else. It's the real McCoy!
