Antique Damask Winter Towel Welcometo Robins in the Trundle Bed, brimming with antiques, whimsies, and fripperiesthat we have gathered in treasure hunts over the New England countryside. We are pleased to beoffering this wonderful antique hand worked damask Winter towel, new to themarket from our private collection. Thecloth features a center image of a woman feeding(?) birds in a tree around her. The image rendered in red thread details thewoman’s fancy necklace, be...lt and hood. The artistically styled branches hold a number of birds. The word winter decorates the bottom of theimage and has sprigs of holly scattered about. The ends of the cloth are fringed and each end has horizontal redstripes and cream on cream embroidery. It measures 18.5” in width and 35” in length without the fringe. The fringe is 2”.
