The "octal"- like female jack in the top of the chassis , which resembles an octal tube socket, is actually a 9-pin socket, once used for the other components of the console. This is a hard plug to find today, so I'm including an 8-pin chassis octal socket and a new male octal plug so that you can change out the oddball 9 pin socket. This will make this port usable again. As always, such a unit should be fuse-protected, and fuses and a fuse holder will be supplied for your use. Two male, 2-pin speaker plugs will also be included.
The tubes:Five of the seven are the original ones, all marked "Packard Bell". None were actually made by Packard Bell. As was common in the day, most manufacturers would have tubes private labeled for them by the major tube manufacturers. The four EL84/6BQ5's are actually G.E. tubes, and the one 7025 is actually an RCA tube. The replaced Westinghouse 7025 is actually a G.E. 7025. The 5U4GB tube was missing, so I installed a new-in-box / new-old-stock RCA 5U4GB. All tubes tested good and were free of microphonics in the circuits.
Folder 11 of the Howard W. Sams Photofact set # 669, which covers the DPA-30-3, will be supplied.
As always, the unit is being sold "as-is", and should be restored for safe reliable use. The seller assumes no responsibility for possible failure, fire, injury or death resulting from the use of this unit, as unlikely as any of those cases would be.
Shipping to 48 contiguous states only.
This nice unit was hand crafted in California.
