This listing is for a Vintage Phase Linear Model 4000 series two preamplifier in excellent cosmetic condition. Take a look at the photos, and you will see it looks great with the buttons and knobs having a little oxidation on them and such. I tested it out and this is what I found. I am NOT A technician, but from what i can tell, All of the inputs work as they should with the exception of the AUX input. It has very low sound out of the left channel. Also, when using the headphon...e jack the Right channel barely plays, but when moving the jack around it does come in and out. More than likely that just needs cleaning, but i'm not for sure. Also, i do not know what the Correlation threshold and the unlimited theshold knobs do so consider those untested. The tape 1, tape 2 and Phono inputs all work and sound fine. I'm sure someone with the know how can get these few issues corrected. Consider it being sold For repair, and Like all vintage audio, this is being sold with no returns. I would recommend taking it to a qualified technician to have it checked out.
